“ONE DAY AT A TIME”

As of Saturday August 21 the clock has started counting on my husband’s year long deployment in the desert.
Now for anyone that has gone through a long separation from a loved one, the worst thing you can hear  is to “take one day at a time”.  I mean… unless you are an alcoholic, or Jesse from Breaking Bad you should never hear this comment.  It is safe to assume that anyone who says this means well, but in reality the last thing you want is someone else telling you that you can barely make it 24 hrs.   Seriously, how grieves stricken do you think we have TIME to be?
Between working full time, raising kids and playing a taxi driver for sports practice, one should consider themselves lucky to find a clean spoon to eat with at my house.
I am sure that on lookers see the situation as something that needs to be swallowed in small bites, but if your bites are too small it will seem like forever before you finish.
Just food for thought….
